Can this remain on a static colour or does it continually change colour?
Answer: It has two modes, a party mode that changes colours to music and another mode that loops through colours with a slow fade. There is no option for a static colour. -

Can this be hung on a wall?
Answer: The power cable and switch are on the back, so you would have to take it off the wall to turn it on or off. -

Does it need to stay connected to USB or can it run on battery?
Answer: It is not rechargeable. It can be used with mains (plug socket) or USB. Mine is connected to the mains. -

Can it be operated by batteries?
Answer: It comes with a micro USB cable, so you can operate it with a common self-phone charger or a power bank. -

How long is the micro USB cable?
Answer: The cable is not very long, but it is enough to stretch from the plug to sitting on a desk above the socket.
