Although the replacement blades for this cutter may not be available, the product works astonishingly well when used correctly in a sawing vs slicing motion. The retractable feature is a nice safety addition but requires the user to keep their thumb on the blade for it to remain extended while cutting through cardboard. As for TSA approval, it is better to check directly with them. The product comes in bright colours, making it easily visible in toolboxes or drawers, but customers would have preferred a more sophisticated choice. Although the cutting action is smooth as butter, customers wish that the knife part would lock up, so they don't have to hold the lever the whole time.
