The Walrus Audio MAKO Series R1 High-Fidelity Stereo Reverb 900-1056 is a versatile and characterful pedal that produces high-quality tones. The early firmware was terrible and needed updating, and going TS instead of TRS significantly reduces the flexibility of the pedal. The compact form factor is also an illusion, and the preset system is fiddly. The wet/dry function acts weird above 60%, and there is no output volume control or individual octave control. Despite these issues, the pedal is a good choice for those who want a huge, lush reverb to sit behind their signal. It works well with guitars, basses, drum machines, and synths and can be used in mono or stereo.
