Battlestations Midway - Steam PC [Online Game Code]

**** The reception of this game on Steam has been a mixed bag, with players reflecting a wide range of experiences. Many users were drawn to the game due to its graphical appeal and World War II theme. It has proven to be an entertaining option for younger players; one customer's son found it highly engaging, particularly enjoying certain weapons like torpedoes and expressing a desire to explore notable ships like the Iowa and Yamato. However, the difficulty of some levels, such as Raid on Balikpapan, can challenge even persistent players. Conversely, several users encountered significant barriers that detracted from their enjoyment. The game reportedly lacks clear instructions, making it difficult for newcomers to grasp the mechanics without additional tools, such as a joystick. There were frustrating technical issues as well, with one player’s security software flagging the download as potentially harmful, leading to installation problems. Although some managed to resolve these issues, they reported that the game ultimately lacks depth, with criticisms pointing towards it feeling simplistic and arcade-like rather than a true World War II simulation. In summary, while the game's visuals and themes resonate with some players, technical challenges and gameplay mechanics have led others to feel disappointed. The combination of fun for younger audiences and frustration for more seasoned gamers illustrates the divided reception this title has garnered. **
